Alcohol addiction is tough to beat alone. With the help of our residential treatment program, you or your loved one will discover coping mechanisms to help curb alcohol cravings and beat addiction once and for all. Our alcohol addiction treatment program may include residential detox and recovery, followed by outpatient care with ongoing support.
Our inpatient recovery program will be tailored to your unique situation. Expect to participate in individual and group therapy and receive medications such as naltrexone or acamprosate to reduce alcohol cravings.
We provide help for substance abuse disorders stemming from various drugs, including:
- Prescription drugs
With each of these substances, quitting on your own can be dangerous, often resulting in various challenges and symptoms, including headaches, insomnia, mood changes, and in extreme cases, death. Therefore, we provide the supervision and care necessary to transition to a drug-free life.
If you’re struggling with addiction issues accompanied by other mental health issues, our dual-diagnosis mental health unit is equipped to provide the care you need. We’re experienced at treating substance disorders that occur alongside issues such as:
- Depression or anxiety
- Suicidal ideation or self-harm
- Bipolar disorder
- Delusions and paranoia
- Post-traumatic stress disorder
- Acute behavioral changes
Effective Drug & Alcohol Treatment
Our drug treatment programs address the unique withdrawal symptoms associated with the substance or substances you struggle with. While every plan differs, our treatment methods may include those listed below.
Individualized Treatment Plans
Every addiction experience is different, meaning every recovery plan should be different, too. At Hickory Behavioral Health Hospital, we offer you or your loved one the best chance at recovery by providing individualized treatment plans that cater to your unique situation. Whether you’re battling a single or co-occurring addiction, living with mental health conditions in addition to your addiction, or simply struggling to get over unhealthy relationships with drugs or alcohol, our experience and care can help you work toward a clean and sober lifestyle.
As the body learns to function without drugs or alcohol in the early days of recovery, patients may experience various withdrawal symptoms. These can include:
- Difficulty sleeping
- Sweating and hot flushes
- Nausea and vomiting
- Muscle cramps
In severe addiction cases, medication-assisted detox may be required to curb the effects of these withdrawal symptoms. This stage of treatment takes place for the first several days of recovery.
To avoid life-threatening symptoms, we strongly urge you to find a highly qualified recovery program in Indiana, such as Hickory Recovery.
