Dr. Tim Kelly, MD, Hickory Recovery Network Chief Medical Officer
Dr. Timothy J. Kelly is one of the nation’s leading thought leaders and practitioners of addiction medicine. Dr. Kelly graduated from Indiana University School of Medicine in 1979 and is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Addiction Medicine. Currently, Dr. Kelly practices at Community Health Network where he provides direct care and administrative oversight for the Integrated Care inpatient detoxification program and medical-bed consultation throughout the hospital network. He is the principal partner in the private addiction medicine practice, Clearvista Recovery Associates. From 1979-2014, Dr. Kelly served terms as president, CEO, and medical director of the renowned Fairbanks Hospital, one of the nation’s oldest alcohol and drug treatment centers. He is an author and sought-after speaker at local, state, and national conferences. He offered testimony before the Indiana State Legislature in 2015, which helped secure passage of several laws that greatly increased treatment options for those suffering from the disease of addiction. Dr. Kelly’s wife, Dr. Rebecca Kelly, also a Community Health Network physician and addictionologist is one of his partners in Clearvista Recovery Associates. Together, they are the parents of 3 children and 6 grandchildren.
Valerie Jones-Turner-Pearson, MS, LCAC, CADACII, Hickory Recovery Network Chief Clinical Director
Valerie has been employed as a Mental Health and Substance Abuse counselor since 2010. And has worked in the social services field for over 20 years. Education: Master’s in psychology from Martin University, and a Bachelor’s in business management from the University of Phoenix. Valerie is a Licensed Clinical Addiction and Mental Health Counselor by the state of Indiana. And is certify as CADACII by Indiana Counselor Association on Alcohol and Drug Abuse (ICAADA). Family: Married to Jimmy Pearson in 2019. When she married, she became a mother to 6 adult children and a Mimi to 14 grandchildren. which added to her own two daughters Valerie II and Epiphany. She reported that her greatest joy is her 3-year-old granddaughter Harper Marie Hall. Hobbies: Shopping, volunteering, traveling, and spending time with her family. Other information: She enjoys her journey as a Life Coach, which affords her the opportunity to work with the clients at Hickory Recovery Network and Hickory Treatment Centers, who often share with her their struggles and strengths of overcoming the disease of addiction.
