Valerie Jones-Turner-Pearson, MS, LCAC, CADACII, Chief Clinical Director

Valerie has been employed as a Mental Health and Substance Abuse counselor since 2010. And has worked in the social services field for over 20 years. Education: Master’s in psychology from Martin University, and a Bachelor’s in business management from the University of Phoenix. Valerie is a Licensed Clinical Addiction and Mental Health Counselor by the state of Indiana. And is certify as CADACII by Indiana Counselor Association on Alcohol and Drug Abuse (ICAADA). Family: Married to Jimmy Pearson in 2019. When she married, she became a mother to 6 adult children and a Mimi to 14 grandchildren. which added to her own two daughters Valerie II and Epiphany. She reported that her greatest joy is her 3-year-old granddaughter Harper Marie Hall. Hobbies: Shopping, volunteering, traveling, and spending time with her family. Other information: She enjoys her journey as a Life Coach, which affords her the opportunity to work with the clients at Hickory Treatment Centers, who often share with her their struggles and strengths of overcoming the disease of addiction.

Paul Gallagher, Executive Director

Meet Paul Gallagher who leads the team at Hickory Recovery Network of Linton in the role of Executive Director. Paul has over 20 years of experience working in addiction treatment and recovery and leading caring professionals in a variety of healthcare settings. He began his career in healthcare working with individuals with intellectual impairments and most recently was a Health Facility Administrator in a large Long-Term Care setting with a special focus on Behavioral Health. His greatest delight and inspiration is seeing lives transformed and lived to their fullest. “What attracted and impressed me about Hickory Recovery Network was their commitment to treating the whole individual: the physical, psycho-social, emotional, aesthetic, and spiritual from the moment a person initially reaches out to us to participate in our alumni club long after they have graduated from our program and continued on their life’s journey with a renewed sense of purpose and joyfulness.”  Paul is a Licensed Health Facilities Administrator who pursued a BA in Human Services and MA with emphasis on Health Systems at Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI. When Paul is not working you can find him digging in a garden, telling a story, hiking, biking, walking, or reading a book under a tree somewhere. He vows to live to see the day that his beloved Chicago Cubs win another World Series.

Kathy Wright, MSN, Director of Nursing

Kathy started her educational career in nursing in 1993. She obtained her ASN at Vincennes University. Which led to her career at Bloomington Hospital, gaining experience in multiple areas of patient care. She lived the life of a nursing professional which included bedside nursing, travel nursing, and owning/operating a nursing agency. It was in 2018 that she decided to further her nursing education by obtaining her BSN through Western Governors University. She then finished her education through Western Governors University by completing the MSN program in 2020. In Kathy’s free time, she enjoys spending her time outdoors where she is gardening and landscaping. She is an avid reader. Some of her favorite authors include King and Kenyon.  She also enjoys spending time with her family. She is a mother of 2 boys and a grandmother to 2 grandsons.

Megan Mason, MA, LMHCA, LCAC-A, Therapist

Megan completed her undergraduate degree at Indiana State University. While completing her undergraduate degree, she interned at HARSHA Behavioral Center. She was able to gain experience working with kids ranging from 3-17 years of age. Once she completed her undergraduate career, Megan began a professional career at Wabash Valley Correctional Facility. She worked in the Special Needs Unit as a Behavioral Health Specialist. She ran Psychoeducational Groups with individuals that were diagnosed with a severe mental illness. After 2 years in the field, Megan realized that she wanted to go further as a professional in the mental health field and enrolled in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program at Indiana Wesleyan University. She graduated with a Master of Arts degree with a concentration in Mental health and Addiction. She gained experience at Wabash Valley Correctional Facility as an intern therapist. At Wabash Valley, she was able to gain experience working with individuals with mental health concerns as well as addiction. Upon completion of her graduate career, Megan took a leap of faith and decided to utilize her addiction experience and work in an inpatient treatment center. Outside of Megan’s professional career, she enjoys spending time with her family. She spends most of her free time at state parks with her husband, daughter, and 2 dogs.
